WHOA! For OWSUG meetings we have had the occasional turnout of over 40 attendees with a typical attendance of 25 – 35.
Tonight, we had 140 registered for the Windows 7 event. We had a capacity crowd of more than 110 people!!!
Everybody who attended tonight and who submitted an evaluation form get’s a FREE full copy of Windows 7 Ultimate to take home with them.
We ran out of copies so Microsoft has committed to send copies to those attendees who did not leave with a copy of the new OS.

| Special Announcement: TS: Windows 7, Configuring Study Group! 1. We are pleased announce that we are now accepting applications to join our TS: Windows 7, Configuring Study Group! certification study group. The previous OWSUG.ca study group was very successful with over 85% of the participants obtaining the certification by the end of the study group. Schedule Sessions take place on Tuesday evenings from 6:00 PM until 8:30 PM at CTE Solutions’ Ottawa facility beginning January, 2010 and continuing until April, 2010 for a total of 12 sessions (30 hours). Exact date will be send later after confirming the numbers of attendees Objectives 1. Individual: a. Prepare for the sessions by reading the training material content on the study group schedule. b. Develop and improve skills with Windows7. c. Obtain the TS: Windows 7, Configuring certification. 2. Group: a. Review the content, perform demonstrations and review exam practice questions. b. Attend 80 % of the sessions. Offer Cost to participate in the study group is $ 250. All participants will receive a copy (to keep) of the MCTS Self-Paced Training Kit (Exam 70-680): Configuring Windows® 7 and an exam voucher for the exam. We run study groups with membership from 8 – 13 members. In a little more than 24 hours, we have 14 members committed to both attending and help in running the group. With today’s presentation, this will surely climb!
OWSUG may need to run 2 concurrent Windows 7 study groups in January. This is fantastic news for the community!
