• Coffee and Code in St. John’s at Coffee Matters March 25th 9:30 AM

  A month shy of a year, we’re heading back to Coffee Matters in St. John’s, Newfoundland for a Coffee and Code “workshifting” stint in this great coffee joint on Water Street. Man – I still remember those radical Lattes – Vanilla Berry Bliss was my favorite – but I digress. (I dug up a snap of the boys from last year) Last time we had up to a dozen IT guys come on out for a chat (and coffee obviously) about everything under the sun.  Are you a Technical Professional working on “the rock” and can make it downtown this Thursday morning (March 25th – around 9:30 Newfoundland time)? Come on out and say hi – Coffee is on us. Heck – bring your laptop and join us in the coffee shop to work if you can – great to have company as we’re in town. Based on the weather reports – it sounds like it will be a tad bit wet, but heck – rain never hurt anyone.  Start Time: informally around 9:30 ish until possibly noonish Location: 320 Water Street, St.John’s NL Other Things in St. John’s we’re doing as part of the East Coast Swing of #EnergizeIT: We’ve got to head out after coffee to College of the North Atlantic for a presentation to students about careers in IT. • Coffee & Code à Québec.

  Salut tout le monde, Rick Claus, Joël Quimper et moi-même serons au Cosmos sur Grande Allée à Québec demain matin de 9:00am a 11 :30am pour un « Coffee & Code ». Le concept du « Coffee & Code » est de promouvoir les connections avec la communauté des professionnels en Informatique. Ce, à l’aide d’un endroit public, d’une bonne tasse de café et d’un environnent agréable. Nous nous installerons dans l’entrée et nous serons disponible pour jaser de sujets quelconques. Donc, si tu es intéressé, tu as le temps pour une pause, viens nous voir… Il me fera plaisir de te payer un café. Les “Coffee & Code” étaient originalement réservés aux développeurs mais nous nous sommes rendus à l’évidence que le concept est bon et les résultats sont remarquables et c’est maintenant ouvert à tous.  Tu veras bien.
