Hello,
I was at the OWSUG SQL 101 meeting on January 22nd. It was interesting, and one of the speakers was only a little over the top in trying to amuse the audience.
What I think of Windows Update Tuesday's shouldn't be spoken of, I can't stop swearing at times. Given that even Servers have to be rebooted, most months, then this is a typical snafu, or sod's law, when one thinks of having SQL running and then someone rebooting with no warning. Just because the update window tells one to do so.
That's why I asked Tom whether there was a new Windows Server series that won't require a reboot after Tuesday's security twaddle. It's about time that someone asked MS why this can't be made like some other OSes, nameless, that don't need to. Some of the 5,000 they are making redundant could be set to work on this subject, hein?
Garrulous, yes, but well meant.
Regards,
Paul
