• WSUS sync errors

looks like me Essentilas install is up and running. Although I seem to have run into a bit of a snag. I am getting various errors relating to syncronization, can't seem to download some updates BITS also seems to be involved in the fiasco. you'd think that HTTP 1.1 would be supported in Windows server 2008, and i'm sure it is, but ...

Mystery software demystified: I checked the registery for those strange numbers. Turns out it is the version number of SmartWizard Discovery, an application that ships with SmartSwitches from Netgear. The entry in A/R P is linked to the uninstall file for the software. Well that's one problem solved. Back to the NetBT 80+ daily errors.

I will be installing SCE agentless on the servers. I will have to find a way to document whatever I find. The time on the DC1 was off from all other time servers on the net, including that on Blackberries and cell phones. WS should updated themselves now that I made that time correction (hope it holds). No EXE for said ...

No static enties on any DNS server. At least nothing that is jumping out saying it is static. All DNS servers have the same or at least similar entries. The difference are the local machine IP addresses. Could this error be caused by a timing issue? I found the time on DC1 behind by 3-4 minutes of DC3. I changed the time on DC1 to see ...

No static entries on DC3 The mystrious software is listed in Add/Remove programs as 2.05.05. Spyware and AV scans did not pick it up. It has no install location or anything. Due to that I think it is still some type of spyware. Has a recyling bin icon next to it. Not installed on any other DC. However it was installed prior to installation in ...

Yes we are using Win2k3 as our DNS servers. There are 3 DNS servers, one for each location hosted on each DC. I say it is not configured correctly due to various situations. For one thing the server was hurried out, mysterious software is installed (which looks like spyware or something, lacking updates, not running as smooth as DC1 and DC2. ...

Questions: Are you using DDNS? What does DC3 say it's IP address is there? I doubt DDNS is being used. DC3 has a private static IP address What is differnet about DC3 compared to DC1&2 and why do you think it is an ...

That site was one of the first places I started to look for answers. Tracing the IP address goes back to the DC that the IP was assigned to.. The server in question was setup differently than the the other 2 DCs in the company, why, I don't know. I tried most of the solutions on the site, but they did nothing to this setup. But yes, that ...
